Data Description

Dataset Overview

This dashboard uses data from the Hispanic Community Health Study / Study of Latinos (HCHS-SOL), a population-based cohort of Hispanic/Latino adults in the United States (n ≈ 1,200). Data were collected through standardized interviews and clinical examinations between 2008–2011. The study population includes diverse Hispanic/Latino backgrounds across multiple U.S. communities. Peripheral Artery Disease awareness was self-reported. This dataset is available by request in BioLincc.

Why this matters

Low awareness of Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) limits early detection and increases the risk of preventable cardiovascular complications. This dashboard identifies gaps in awareness across populations to inform targeted public health interventions.
